What you’ll do | Hei mahi
DC Support Technician will provide operational excellence, service availability and performance for all devices in Distribution Centres for Woolworths New Zealand.
Provides face to face technical experience and resolution for user computing devices (Distribution Centres)
Specifically, the role will see you:
- Provide level 2 technical Support to 3 Warehouses
- Provides technical support for IT hardware, software, and mobility devices.
- Manages incidents and problems, escalating to appropriate support groups when necessary.
- Offers 2nd level IT support for warehouse facility applications and infrastructure.
- Responsible for change management related to the Distribution Warehouse Facility.
- Ensures computer room standards are maintained and supports unique end-user devices.
- Assists with delivery of upgrades, rollouts by providing teachnical input and technical vertification testing
- Acts as a central point of contact for IT within the DC warehouse facility.

Ideally, you will bring a blend of strong technical troubleshooting skills across a wide scope, including computer rooms and distribution warehouse facilities applications, coupled with excellent customer-facing communication abilities. You will be adept at explaining complex IT information clearly and will leverage innovative thinking to foster a more productive environment for our customers. Your collaborative style will enable you to work effectively with various teams and external partners.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Desktop Computing and Service Desk Operations, face to face hands on experience fixing printers, devices etc
- Strong analytical skills for complex problem-solving.
- Flexible approach with a focus on delivery to deadlines and high standards.
- Experience in IT Service Operations (e.g., ITIL).
- Operational or project delivery experience with IT service providers and stakeholders.
