What you'll do

Woolworths at Work is a startup business commenced in September 2020, with the ambitions of redefining the B2B grocery supply market. Our goal is to take this from a food supply business, to a one stop shop for businesses supplying food and everyday needs.

The Commercial Proposal Manager is responsible for leading the development of high-quality commercial proposals, contract renewals, and strategic partnership documentation for Woolworths at Work’s Enterprise customers. Reporting to the GM Enterprise, this role plays a critical part in strengthening and growing existing customer relationships by ensuring renewal proposals, commercial agreements, and partnership plans are compelling, commercially sound, and aligned with evolving customer needs. In addition to managing proposal development, the role provides market and industry insights that inform our retention strategy, including trends across procurement and competitor positioning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the end-to-end development of renewal proposals, tenders, and contract documentation for existing Enterprise customers. Ensure proposals clearly articulate Woolworths at Work’s value, pricing, and capabilities.
  • Produce high-quality customer presentations and proposal documents by consolidating inputs from various stakeholders (sales, legal, marketing) into visually strong, professional, and structured content.
  • Partner with sales and account teams to shape renewal strategies, providing commercial support for pricing changes, incentives, and value modelling for existing customers.
  • Conduct desktop research on emerging trends, regulatory changes, competitor positioning, and procurement structures to translate insights into recommendations that strengthen proposals and strategic positioning.
  • Maintain best practice bid processes and proposal standards. Develop templates and frameworks to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with internal governance and legal requirements.

What you'll bring

  • Experience in bid management, commercial proposals, or strategic sales support is essential. In addition, experience in procurement or large commercial contracts is highly desirable.
  • Must possess strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand pricing models and complex contract structures.
  • Requires exceptional written communication, strong proposal development skills, and advanced presentation development abilities for executive-level documents.
  • Superior stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence all organizational levels and coordinate complex inputs from multiple teams.
  • Innovative, strategic thinker who combines strategic ability with tactical agility, is customer focused, and able to deal with ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to work within complex, multichannel businesses, effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
