What you’ll do

  • Work horizontally across category teams to architect and deliver the trade plan. You will bridge the gap between "current state" and "ideal state" by identifying and solutioning process bottlenecks.
  • Drive an efficient, end-to-end promotional planning process that aligns with the broader F&V strategy. You will oversee the transition to a more data-led model, ensuring all promotional activity is supported by clear frameworks and rigorous planning.
  • Own the data integrity for pricing guardrails, partnering with category teams to improve data accuracy and access. You will facilitate regular reviews to ensure pricing and promotional strategies consistently hit financial and market share targets.
  • Build collaborative and cross functional relationships with partners across Marketing, WooliesX, Cartology, and Rewards. 
  • Support and coach the category teams (including ACMs) on best-practice promotional planning. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging "Voice of" feedback to refine how the team engages with suppliers and internal partners.


What you’ll bring

  • Previous experience in an Assistant Category Manager or Category Manager role preferable with strong Commercial acumen 
  • Demonstrated history of customer centricity, with a track record of delivering great outcomes for customers
  • A reputation as an outstanding collaborator and influencer, with a demonstrated history of achieving results in close collaboration across teams
  • Ability to uphold best practice category strategies and data governance
  • Experience using data and insights to make decisions and influence change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
