What you’ll do | Hei mahi
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements that align with customer needs and commercial objectives.
- Develop and execute category plans that provide a clear roadmap for supply partners, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.
- Drive sales growth and profit improvement by implementing strategic category initiatives that optimise product offerings and merchandising strategies.
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities that enhance customer satisfaction, streamline store operations, and reduce costs for Woolworths.
- Continuously evaluate supplier capabilities, proactively seek new partnerships, and cultivate existing relationships to secure long-term competitive advantage.
What you’ll bring | Hei mahi
- Prior experience as an Assistant Category Manager or Category Manager is required to ensure you are set up for success in this thriving category.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer-focused category plans aligned with the divisional strategy and supported by sound commercial insights and data.
- Strong negotiation and influence skills with cross-functional and external stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Proven experience conducting category reviews.
- Ability to become an industry expert in the field of responsibility within New Zealand.
