What you'll do

As Category Manager - Beauty you will be responsible for developing and executing the merchandise strategy for a portfolio of beauty categories across healthylife and everyday market. You will bring a high attention to detail, with a strong work ethic and energy to drive growth in a fast growing, digitally led, health start up. 


Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Drive the department's long-term strategy and commercial performance by translating market trends and customer insights into actionable plans that maximize sales, profit, gross margin, and market share.

  • Financial & P&L Management: Oversee the department P&L and execute comprehensive commercial frameworks—covering COGS, shrink, pricing, and promotions—to deliver sustainable growth and cost efficiencies.

  • Supplier & Stakeholder Partnerships: Cultivate market-leading relationships with suppliers, collaborating with internal teams to execute account plans, conduct business reviews, and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure strict adherence to all pharmaceutical and healthcare regulations while proactively navigating evolving industry landscapes to mitigate operational risk.

  • Operational Excellence & Quality Control: Optimise supply chain operations and implement robust quality control standards to enhance overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Data-Driven Inventory Management: Leverage data analytics to drive strategic decision-making, partnering with the planning team to monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability.

To be successful in this role, you will have:


  • Extensive experience as a Category Manager with a proven track record of leading end-to-end category strategies. This includes defining a long-term strategic vision, fostering seamless cross-functional collaboration to align business objectives, and maintaining full ownership of category performance to drive sustainable growth and profitability.

  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills, demonstrating a strong ability to build and maintain highly effective relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Robust problem-solving abilities backed by practical experience in data analysis, performance reporting, and proficiency in Google Suite.

  • The versatility to work effectively both autonomously and as a collaborative team member.
