About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

This role provides essential support to the Pantry & Freezer buying team, ensuring the right products are available in stores at the right time to meet customer demand and achieve commercial targets. This involves assisting Category Managers with daily buying tasks, problem-solving, and responding to internal and external inquiries, including customer complaints. The role also encompasses managing promotions, maintaining accurate store ranging, and supporting the end-to-end value chain. You’ll play a key role in upholding buying policies and procedures, managing administrative tasks like invoice processing, and ensuring data quality across various systems. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end promotional process, from system loading to maintenance, ensuring timely execution and accuracy.
  • Drive mailer planning tasks to completion, adhering to established processes.
  • Maintain a high level of pricing and data integrity within master data systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, managing key communications.
  • Assist the Category Manager with ad-hoc tasks and the category review process.

  • You’ll have an excellent understanding of the E2E supply chain for grocery and will ideally have worked within a store operations environment. 
  • Previous administration experience and be highly organised and capable of juggling multiple priorities simultaneously,
  • Comfort in administrative systems (such as SAP and Partner Hub) that manage data in addition to software suites such as Google and Microsoft
  • A willingness to learn and collaborate with the wider team, display excellent interpersonal and relationship skills, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience being well-organised with the ability to communicate effectively,  building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
