Welcome to the Finance Team 


As one of the largest Finance functions in Corporate Australia we provide opportunities across Corporate Finance, Shared Services, Commercial Finance, Capital Management, Financial Control, Operations Finance, Project Finance, M&A and Strategy and Planning.

The Opportunity

This role will report to the Commercial Finance Manager - Everyday Needs.


What you’ll do


  • Support Senior Business Analyst and Home Essentials Buying Team in delivery of insightful analysis and commercial recommendations across sales, gross profit and inventory

  • Support Senior Business Analyst to perform regular business performance reviews to resolve poor performance issues and ensure business initiatives are implemented successfully

  • Ensure internal controls are embedded and that adequate tracking is in place to ensure adherence to accounting standards & financial controls

  • Support annual operating plan process to consolidate results and build insights of Sales, GP and overhead 

  • Responsible for consolidating the monthly forecast process and weekly forecast update to understand key performance drivers 

  • Manage costs against budget/targets and assist key stakeholders to monitor budgets/targets  


What you’ll bring


  • Strong commercial experience within a matrix environment

  • Proven stakeholder management skills

  • Strong budgeting and forecasting background

  • Intermediate analytical and problem solving skills 

  • Ability to prioritise team efforts to support business requirements

  • Presentation and storyboarding skills, ability to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience

  • Advanced experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel, Powerpoint, SAP
