What you’ll do

The Business Analyst is a key commercial role supporting the Buying and Merchandising

teams across Pantry portfolio. This role forms part of the W-Retail commercial team and

partners strongly with the Buying and Merchandise teams.

  • Lead financial performance analysis for Pantry, focusing on market drivers and providing clear, insightful commentary to Category and Merchandise Managers.

  • Support the Commercial team in accurately forecasting Sales and GP for various planning cycles (weekly, monthly, AOP).

  • Partner with commercial, pricing, and strategy teams to build and implement initiatives that drive market share and profit.

  • Conduct analysis on promotional effectiveness, excess stocks, and high-risk forecast planning (e.g., seasonal events).

  • Provide support to Senior Business Analysts on strategic initiatives, projects, and commercial queries related to Grocery Food and Own Brand portfolios.

the following to the table:

  • CA/CPA qualified with proven business partnering, commercial analysis, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex financial information simply to diverse audiences, supported by strong presentation and storyboarding skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems (e.g. Google Suite, SAP, GCP) and managing large, multi-dimensional datasets.

  • Ideally, Multinational FMCG experience supporting national retail sales teams (grocery/liquor) across key accounts.

  • Understanding of category management, pricing, promo planning/effectiveness, and experience with retail scan, funding, and coop claims.

  • Previous experience working within fast paced Commercial and retail environments
