What you’ll do 

  • Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the automated system, managing end-to-end processes and executing tactical planning to meet throughput goals
  • Drive continuous improvement and process engineering, coaching on Lean/Six Sigma to boost productivity, eliminate waste, and streamline operations.
  • Harness and recommend new industrial engineering technologies and trends for safety, cost, and performance improvements.
  • Utilise data analytics, AI, and simulation models to predict system performance, owning the simulation testing process before software deployments.
  • Partner with internal (operations/IT) and external stakeholders to manage strategic relationships and align software changes and performance initiatives with business needs.
  • Manage system capability by establishing and reporting KPIs, develop SOPs and lead direct report(s), ensuring strict safety compliance


What you’ll bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or a trades background
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities, including advanced Excel modelling and
  • simulation skills.
  • Experience working with automation, control logic and WMS / WCS software layers.
  • Knowledge of process flow management, material flows, cause-and-effect, system strategy, and logic.
  • Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement/Lean principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience in either FMCG, Automated Distribution or Manufacturing.
  • Exposure to automation systems and suppliers, e.g., Vanderlande, Dematic, Schaefer, Swisslog, Knapp, or Witron.
