What you’ll do
As the Assurance & Systems Lead you will support Distribution Centres, transport teams and other BUs across the North East of Australia. You'll be accountable for developing and auditing our Safety, Health & Wellbeing Safety Management System, coaching operational managers to ensure our teams are safe.
This role is instrumental in driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance for our external partners through a robust assurance program.
- Support site teams to achieve compliance in the implementation of policies, procedures and processes to minimise risks
- Provide expert leadership, mentoring and guidance to ensure that safety standards and legislative requirements are met
- Deliver the Primary Connect Safety, Health & Wellbeing assurance and governance program by conducting second line assurance activities and support the close out of non-conformities
- Support the site and transport teams with second and third line audit activities including the close out of non-conformities
- Partner with the Transport Safety team to lead and conduct assurance activities on external parties
- Support the implementation, continuous improvement and maintenance of the Safety Management System
What you’ll bring
- Coaching and mentoring your peers and on-site management
- Experience in auditing, leading, supporting and influencing a variety of key stakeholders
- Experience working in self-insured organisations
- Strong knowledge and experience working with WHS/OHS frameworks
- Strong analysis and problem solving skills / analysing trends
- Business writing and reporting experience
- Formal qualifications in HS&W or related field & Lead Auditor qualification (desirable)
