What you’ll do
Assist the Category Manager in executing category plans that are better for customers, simpler for stores and deliver against financial and non-financial targets. The primary role of an ACM is to run an effective promotional program that delivers against sales, profit and market share targets.
- Optimizing the promotional program through the frequency, depth, funding and phasing of promotions whilst ensuring we are providing market leading value for our customers
- Utilize data and insights to ensure our promotional offers are customer led and deliver a ROI
- Leveraging sales driving tactics for key customer offers (brochure, sales planning, event space etc.)
- Negotiating with Suppliers on promotional investment and executions (aligning to KPI’s).
- Collaboration with other team members and stakeholders e.g. Category Manager & Assistant, Marketing, Online, Replenishment, Promotions etc. to implement promotional activity effectively
What you’ll bring
- Previous Assistant Category Manager experience preferred
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Willingness to learn, collaborate with the wider team and adapt with changing conditions
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy with proficiency in excel and Google apps
