What you’ll do:


As  Analytics and Insights Manager you will be instrumental in shaping our Food eCommerce strategy by transforming complex data into clear, commercially-driven outcomes. Leading a team of Senior & Lead analysts within the Digital Trade and Commercial Insights COE. You will be accountable for the delivery of insights, analytics & reporting solutions in this area. Partner with key stakeholders in a strategic capacity influencing the direction of analytics as well as advising on wider business initiatives within the BU.



  • Take ownership and accountability for the delivery of data analytics, insights, data modelling, dashboarding & reporting for a stream within the COE
  • Structure nebulous problem statements and develop hypotheses to determine the solution(s).
  • Transforming data into actionable insights, creating compelling narratives and providing thought leadership to stakeholders, driving business value.
  • Prioritise incoming requests to the team in collaboration with key business stakeholders.
  • Provide line leadership for analysts within the business area, building & fostering a high performing analytics team.
  • Oversee the team's output quality by establishing & maintaining output quality standards and governance processes for the team to ensure the accuracy and reliability of insights.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration on data initiatives by actively seeking out opportunities to partner with other data and analytics teams across Woolworths Group to share best practices, leverage collective expertise, and work on joint initiatives.


What you’ll bring:


You have a solid background working in analytics and insights preferably with customer analytics experience. Commercial and digital analysis experience is a bonus.


  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative area e.g. Actuarial, Maths / Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science etc is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of advanced analytical skills - A/B testing, regression,
  • hypothesis testing.
  • Highly proficient in SQL, data analysis, and modelling skills. Experience with BigQuery, Tableau, and Looker Studio highly desirable
  • Ability to bring structure to nebulous problem statements and develop hypotheses / issue trees to drive insight in a structured way
  • Highly proficient in translating complex findings into a compelling narrative, driving business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder influencing & business partnering including the ability to seamlessly navigate diverse stakeholder environments.
  • A background in eCommerce is highly preferred.
