What you’ll do
As a Macro Space Analyst, you will be a key player in driving strategic initiatives that shape our customers' shopping experience and optimise our retail space. You will address complex business challenges by applying market insights and commercial understanding to inform range and space strategies that directly impact our commercial success. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-visibility projects and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders across the organisation.

 

  • Conduct structured analysis and problem-solving to identify strategic opportunities, considering store specifics, customer behavior, market trends, category performance, and pricing dynamics

  • Partner with commercial teams (Analysts, Leads, Category Managers) and key stakeholders (Heads Of, Managers) to analyse data, uncover insights, and provide actionable recommendations that shape our range and space strategies

  • Convert analysis into actionable insights and recommendations that drive strategic decision making and improve business outcomes.

  • Identify and champion opportunities for continuous improvement, driving customer satisfaction and commercial success through effective space optimisation

  • Collaborate with the Macro Space delivery squad to execute key outcomes and recommendations for strategic programs, particularly those with complex range and space considerations


What you’ll bring

  • A strong Commercial Acumen- the ability to understand business drivers, market dynamics, and financial impacts.

  • A deep understanding of consumer behavior and market trends to inform strategic choices, including an understanding of the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry and commercial practices.

  • The capability to think strategically, connect different pieces of information, and develop comprehensive plans.

  • Strong understanding and use of Google Sheets intermediate functions (pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting)

  • Curiosity and self-sufficiency to delve into and understand agency datasets e.g. Quantium, Nielsen, Shopper Intelligence, IRI or equivalent

  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, with strong visual, verbal, and written presentation abilities.
