What you’ll do
Reporting to the Senior Manager Network Insights and Strategy, your primary responsibility will be to build strategic network plans. This would involve the development and analysis of As-Is and To-Be scenarios which may include a number of To-Be options and the evaluation of each option in terms of customer impact, capacity, cost, service and capability.You will act as a key liaison across all related operational, logistics, property and development functions.
This is in conjunction with working with operational teams to deliver a cost effective solution, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and wider Woolworths team.
Supporting the Network Strategy and Insights team in forming strategic network views as required. This would involve the development and analysis of As-Is and To-Be scenarios which may include a number of To-Be options and the evaluation of each option in terms of customer impact, capacity, cost, service and capability.
Key user of internal network optimisation tool to develop network solutions and capacity scenarios that are optimised for cost. Subject matter expert in this tool to maintain an accurate ‘digital twin’ of eCom network.
Development of documentation that supports the overall network strategy such as the exit and timing of facilities, extensions to existing facilities and changes to either throughput or capabilities across the network.
Data analysis and ad hoc reports that provide operations support and strategy decisions across the organization.
Understand demand capacity gaps over long (10 year) horizons and collaborate with Aus W360 and property teams to develop and prioritise store renewal and investment plans aligning business objectives
Develop robust but flexible analysis models using SQL
Provide general decision support analysis as and when required by the team leads
What you’ll bring
An understanding of retail and logistics and a solid background in analytics or retail experience.
Technical Skills: Ideally you have strong proficiency in SQL, with experience writing queries, optimising performance, and working with large datasets.
Data Visualisation: Experienced in using tools such as Tableau/Looker to create dashboards and maps to visualise data
Stakeholder Management: Ability to work with and listen to business needs, ask the right questions and communicate technical findings in accessible ways. You’re comfortable presenting to senior leadership and building strong relationships beyond the direct team.
Strategic Thinking: You will have a problem solving mindset and responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions
