As one of the largest Finance functions in Corporate Australia we provide opportunities across Corporate Finance, Shared Services, Commercial Finance, Capital Management, Financial Control, Operations Finance, Project Finance, M&A and Strategy and Planning.

The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Group Accountant to join the Group External Reporting team on a 12 months maternity leave cover. You will play a key role in ensuring that internal and external reporting is accurate, timely and in compliance with accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
What you’ll do
- Assist in the preparation of the Group’s half-year financial report and annual report, Appendix 4D/4E sales and profit announcements, and analyst presentations
- Assist in the preparation of the Group's key performance metrics including Return on Funds Employed and EPS
- Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis to the CFO, Board, and Audit Committee
- Partner with business unit finance teams to ensure ongoing compliance with accounting and Finance and disclosure related matters
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with implementing transformation initiatives within the Corporate Finance team and across the wider Group
- Partner with the finance shared services teams in Adelaide to deliver process improvement and timely insights during reporting cycles
- Review of subsidiary accounts
- Liaise with external auditors in respect of financial audits and other audits of group results and reporting
What you'll bring
- 4-6 years experience
- CA / CPA qualification is essential
- Previous experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and/or large ASX listed business highly desirable
- Exposure to technical accounting skills including familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards and ability to interpret accounting and reporting requirements
- Able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience
- Strong stakeholder management, project management and partnering capability
- Experience in supporting financial systems and advanced excel skills (OneStream and SAP an advantage).
