What you’ll do | Hei mahi
The Strategy team mandate is to develop high-quality strategic plans and projects, either focused on functional areas or across the portfolio This role will report to the General Manager, Strategy and will be responsible for leading key work tasks, undertaking analysis, providing strategic advice and supporting business stakeholders. You'll be responsible for:
- Lead reporting and communication relating to strategic initiatives
- Lead ongoing understanding of macroeconomic, market / industry and customer developments that impact our business, proactively sharing new developments with relevant audiences
- Conduct complex analysis to extract valuable insights for the business
- Support problem solving of key business questions with a hypothesis-driven approach
- Support cross-functional projects and ensure strategic initiatives are embedded
- Work with others to ensure that strategic insights and recommendations are effectively translated into action
What you’ll bring | Hei koha
- The successful candidate will be an outstanding all-rounder with a strategic mindset and strong mix of analytical and interpersonal skills. You are dedicated and results focused with a customer first mindset.
- 2+ years’ experience in a top tier strategy consultancy, big four consultancy investment bank or corporate strategy team
- Consumer market experience and retail experience is an advantage
- Outstanding academic record and extra-curricular achievements
- Analytics and quantitative modelling; Highly proficient in Google Sheets or MS Excel, Google Slides or MS Powerpoint, Thinkcell
- Excellent written and oral communication with well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
- Self-starter and “can do” – easy to get along with, naturally curious, comfortable with ambiguity, enjoys getting things done
