We are Woolworths Group
We are Woolworths Group. 200,000+ bright minds, passionate hearts and unique perspectives connected by a shared Purpose – ‘to create better experiences together for a better tomorrow.’ It’s that Purpose that fuels our ambition to explore new ideas, make brave commitments and innovate better ways to meet the food and everyday needs of more than 24 million customers every week.

If you’re excited to turn today’s blue sky thinking into a better tomorrow for future generations, you’ll find yourself supported and enriched in a dynamic, inclusive and empowering workplace that reflects the diverse communities we serve. With a culture of genuine care, a flexible approach to work and opportunities across the group to grow your career and make a meaningful impact, the possibilities for what we can achieve together are endless.

What you’ll do

In this newly created role, you will act as the "Front Door" for business logic, serving as the primary liaison between external Product Owners (POs) and the Innovation/Engineering layers of our team. Your core objective will be to ensure commercial strategies for pricing, range, and space are accurately translated into high-fidelity, buildable analytical requirements.

  • Act as the Business Architect by owning and defining the complex, granular business logic and rules (e.g., Range Review milestones) required for all new and existing analytical solutions within the Commercial Insights domain.

  • Lead the strategic handshake with external POs to translate their commercial vision and "gut feel" into detailed technical scoping, ensuring a seamless partnership that drives commercial outcomes.

  • Scoping requirements based on PO vision, brainstorming and drafting new analytical logic, and managing the overall translation process from business question to technical requirement.

Drive Frontline Excellence by providing high-touch support to Product Owners and users, systematically capturing user feedback (via Tool NPS), and proactively converting insights into prioritized backlog enhancements.

What you’ll bring

Your deep experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a similar analytical liaison role will be crucial to your success. You will possess a strong blend of commercial acumen, technical understanding, and exceptional attention to detail to precisely define and document complex business logic.

  • Liaison Experience: Proven experience acting as a functional bridge between commercial business stakeholders and technical/engineering teams, particularly in a business intelligence or analytical environment.

  • Business Logic Ownership: Demonstrated ability to define, own, and document complex, granular business rules and logic that form the foundation of analytical systems.

  • Stakeholder Partnership: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with proven ability to partner with senior Product Owners and translate ambiguous commercial goals into clear, actionable technical scope.

  • Analytical Foundation (for scoping/validation):

    • Proficiency in SQL for validating data logic and ensuring the integrity of analytical outputs.

    • Solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles.

    • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting concepts to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Mindset: A strong eye for detail and a highly proactive problem-solving mindset, critical for diagnosing issues and driving continuous improvement through integrated feedback loops.

What you’ll experience

  • A global business with endless career possibilities around every corner and across every discipline – with valuable exposure to a vast and exciting business network.

  • Access to Sonder.  Sonder provides free confidential 24/7 personalised financial, medical safety, psychological or physical support for team members and their families.

  • A progressive and competitive leave policy that gives you more space for what matters to you.

  • Team discounts across our range of Woolworths Group brands you know and love and a robust rewards program that celebrates and incentivises purpose-driven work.

  • Opportunity to Salary Sacrifice, enabling team members to purchase selected eligible items or services from pre-tax salary.  Can be used for novated leases, superannuation contributions, Qantas Club membership, computing devices etc.
