What you’ll do

As a Merchandising Operations Specialist, you'll be vital in upholding our high standards for product merchandising and store experience. You'll achieve this by proactively managing your workload and focusing on driving merchandising excellence through your deep understanding of merchandising principles and store processes. You'll be the expert on the ground, utilising Fit Check processes and engaging directly with partners to ensure optimal merchandising outcomes are consistently met and executed.

You will:

  • Take ownership of your individual capacity planning and workload management to ensure you meet key milestones. 

  • Act decisively on store feedback, using critical thinking to analyze root causes. Address individual queries while considering broader store implications, triaging issues and implementing solutions promptly to achieve business focused outcomes.

  • Actively identify and surface potential risks, while consistently achieving Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for store feedback support

  • Enhance merchandising standards and planogram integrity by applying your understanding of merchandising guidelines. 

  • Utilise Fit Check processes and actively drive partner engagement sessions identifying key opportunities and deliver solutions that inspire and influence the achievement of optimal merchandising outcomes.

  • Use post-implementation reviews (PIRs) to identify critical insights from store feedback and convert them into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations driving business focused outcomes and continuous learning.

  • You have a curious mind to analyse store feedback and identify key trends, proposing new ways of working that will improve business results
     

What you’ll bring

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in relevant roles (eg: merchandising, Retail or FMCG experience, store operations department management, category analyst)

  • High proficient understanding of Google & Microsoft systems, with intermediate excel functions (eg: pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting) 

  • Experience in SAP and Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Planning - Desirable

  • Understands the FMCG industry and commercial processes of Woolworths and Suppliers (Desirable)
