What you’ll do
As Assistant Category Manager – Confectionery, you’ll support the Category Manager in executing category plans that are better for customers, simpler for stores, and deliver on both financial and non-financial targets.
You’ll be accountable for the On-the-Go Bars, Gum and Candy categories, helping to shape promotional programs, build supplier relationships, and drive growth across a high-performing portfolio.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering market share–winning promotional and event plans that provide great value for customers.
- Using data and insights to ensure plans are competitive, customer-led, and profitable.
- Managing delivery of key financial KPIs across sales, profit, and margin.
- Driving non-financial KPIs, including Voice of Supplier, Voice of Team, and Voice of Customer.
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships through effective communication and negotiation.
- Collaborating across teams — including Marketing, Online, Replenishment, and Operations — to deliver seamless promotional execution.
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience in Buying, Sales, or Category Management (preferred).
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation experience.
- A track record in driving sales, profit, and market share through customer-led initiatives.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and influencing skills.
- Resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
