What you’ll do

This role focuses on supporting the EDX loyalty platform, forming a key part of the data science function within the space, with a focus on supporting targeted marketing activities, as well as understanding and optimising outcomes for said activities. 

This role will focus on supporting initiatives across loyalty and partnerships - with a focus on designing solutions to problems which balance commercial outcomes for the group, while providing value for our customers and engendering their loyalty.

This role sits across the main loyalty functions including Partners and Subscriptions. You will partner closely with the business to help support decision making and drive delivery. 

Principal responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

• Delivering clear, concise, and comprehensive presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborating with the Engineering team to facilitate the productionisation of work streams.
• Partner closely with delivery teams to help design, implement and execute solutions to help shape and support their strategy.
• Engage in coordination and collaboration with broader data science teams, and provide mentorship to more junior team members.

What you’ll bring

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Scientist possessing demonstrable technical proficiency and advanced stakeholder management capabilities. This position entails providing mentorship within the team and facilitating the professional development of junior colleagues.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
• 3+ years of practical experience as a Data Scientist, with a focus on developing models using supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms.
• Experience with causal uplift modelling, such as familiarity with s/x-learner meta-modelling strategies
• Strong statistical and mathematical foundation, with experience in experimental design or A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and power analysis.
• Solid understanding of MLOps, including CI/CD, Git operations, model productionisation, and building production pipelines.
• Commercial mindset and business acumen.
• Strong presentation and communication skills
