What You’ll Do


As a Campaign and Content Strategist at Woolworths you will lead planning and execution of campaigns and content across the Woolworths app and website, working closely with digital merchandising teams. You will influence experience design based on customer behaviour and conversion rate optimisation. 


While owning the content calendar, managing content distribution across channels and establishing and maintaining strategic content frameworks for best in class digital content experiences. 


You will be an expert in both long and short form content and be able to define and manage content governance to uphold digital content best practices and style guides, and enable content repackaging and campaign repurposing through content lifecycle management.


Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Lead the activation and execution of brand and eCommerce campaigns across the Woolworths app and website, defining messaging matrices based on business objectives and customer missions.
  • Influence experience design for digital campaigns, using customer behaviour, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), business priorities, and market trends as key inputs.
  • Own the content marketing calendar and content distribution across owned, earned, and paid channels, establishing strategic content frameworks and best practices with the content management team.
  • Lead the creation of long and short form content (working with copywriters and AI), manage content governance, and enable content repurposing through content lifecycle management.
  • Establish SMART goals for all campaigns, lead with an experimentation mindset to drive continuous improvement, and collaborate closely with Product, UX, and the SEO Lead for optimisation and identifying new distribution opportunities through regular reporting.


What You’ll Bring


  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in content strategy or content management, preferably within an e-commerce environment.
  • Proficiency in digital storytelling trends and programming techniques, demonstrating up-to-date knowledge of the latest content trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and selectively apply audience insights, research, and data, including knowledge of web traffic metrics.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, while being proactive and adaptable with a willingness to experiment and learn.
  • Must be customer-obsessed with a strong passion for creating exceptional customer experiences, with experience in CRM and digital merchandising being desirable.
