What you’ll do
This crucial role will partner with both the Store Operations and Financial Planning and Performance teams. Reporting into Finance Manager National Operations with a dotted line to the Financial Accounting Manager this broad role will support a number of crucial work streams including the Annual Budgeting process, Monthly reporting, Stock Loss and Inventory management.
- Collaborate with the wider BIG W Finance team, business partners, and strategy team on the annual strategic financial plan, budgeting, performance reporting and forecasting.
- Develop and maintain robust weekly & monthly stock loss reporting and analysis, providing detailed insights into inventory shrinkage and obsolescence in partnership with the Finance Manager National Operations and the Store Operations team
- Support the planning and execution of stock loss prevention initiatives in partnership with the Store Operations team
- Analyse key working capital components (primarily inventory and accounts payable) to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain stock loss and working capital forecasts, incorporating key business drivers and assumptions
- Support month end processes, including performance reporting and analysis
What you’ll bring
- You are currently a Senior Business Analyst seeking the next opportunity to develop your career by working in a cross functional team
- Finance or related degree with CA / CPA qualification preferred
- A team player, keen to learn from others, and contribute to a high performing team
- Agile and growth mindset
- Strong data analysis and modelling skills
- Experience using financial systems, including SAP and GCP
