As our Safety, Health & Wellbeing Specialist, you’ll partner with our Rolleston-based Primary Connect DC - CFDC. Be a key driver of safety, risk mitigation & continuous improvement across the site, leading and inspiring change through guidance and strong relationships with operational leaders and peers. This site-based role offers 30 hours a week, with flexibility, where you will deliver a pragmatic approach to safety by using root cause analysis to implement high-impact solutions for critical risks. You will join an engaged, high-energy team in a modern facility, working closely with your counterpart at the nearby Hornby Distribution Centre to ensure our safety controls make a genuine, positive difference to the team’s daily experience.

Review high-risk event footage captured via state-of-the-art computer vision systems to proactively identify hazards and enhance site safety protocols.
Partner with site leaders to drive safety metrics and organisational standards, ensuring safety objectives are clearly cascaded and brought to life with the wider team.
Oversee the deployment of critical control frameworks including the deployment of our traffic management and other critical risks on-site to effectively mitigate material / critical risks.
Lead thorough incident investigations within your flexible 20-hour schedule, identifying root causes and implementing practical preventative measures.
Act as a peer-focused mentor to build safety knowledge across operational teams, while launching initiatives that bring a culture of wellbeing and safety to life.

To be successful in this role, your experience will likely reflect:
Proven experience as a Safety Advisor, Coordinator, or Specialist is ideal, though we also welcome applicants with strong foundations in HR or people-centred practices.
A background in site-based safety is highly regarded.
Proven stakeholder management skills, building trust and rapport with site-based operational team and leaders, and your fellow safety peers.
Exceptional communication skills and comfort with Safety Management Systems and technology.
A natural ability to work alongside site teams to identify issues and implement practical, effective solutions that enhance safety outcomes.
