We understand flexibility means different things to different people. Let's discuss, what does flexibility look like for you?
The Opportunity
As the Head of Finance, Data and Reporting & Analytics Transformation, you will lead the strategic design and delivery of a world class data ecosystem as part of our broader Finance Systems Transformation. This high impact role is responsible for establishing a single source of truth by integrating SAP S/4HANA and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) into a governed, scalable architecture. You will drive the shift toward self service analytics, design sophisticated semantic layers and pioneer the use of AI and agentic AI to future proof our reporting capabilities. By partnering with senior leaders across Finance and Technology, you will translate complex data architecture into a simplified, persona based reporting framework that empowers the entire Woolworths Group to make faster, data driven decisions.
What you’ll do
- Lead Strategy & Design: Define and execute the end to end finance data and reporting strategy, establishing a single source of truth across SAP S/4HANA, GCP and downstream EPM systems.
- Architect Data Solutions: Drive the design of a governed semantic layer and data dimensionality to ensure consistent, high quality metrics and streamlined data lineage across the group.
- Transform Reporting: Rationalise and standardise reporting toolsets to deliver a persona based framework, moving from manual processes to high impact, self service analytics.
- Pioneer AI Integration: Act as a thought leader in embedding AI and agentic AI opportunities into the transformation roadmap to future proof finance capabilities.
- Data Conversion: Oversee complex data conversion activities and master data management, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems to the future state architecture.
- Collaborate & Influence: Partner with senior Finance, Technology and Analytics leaders to align data architecture with broader enterprise goals and the future operating model.
What you’ll bring
- Extensive Transformation Experience: 10+ years of experience leading complex finance, data or reporting transformations within a large, multi site corporate environment.
- Technical Architecture Expertise: Deep knowledge of data asset design and data warehousing, specifically in achieving a single source of truth across complex platforms like SAP S/4HANA and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Reporting Strategy & Governance: Proven success in designing semantic layers, rationalising reporting suites and establishing robust reporting and metric governance and data governance and lineage frameworks.
- Forward Thinking Innovation: A strong interest or background in AI and agentic AI, with the ability to visualise and implement these technologies to optimise financial outcomes.
- Strategic Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to influence and negotiate with senior directors and cross functional teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear business value.
- Professional Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data or a related field, coupled with a CA/CPA qualification; an MBA or Master’s in a technical discipline is highly regarded.
