About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

As the General Manager Commercial Enablement and Support you will lead a team providing commercial and insight driven strategic thought leadership that enables Woolworths NZ and the Commercial Merchandise teams to more effectively deliver business outcomes. This includes bringing together focused capabilities to effectively land the Commercial Strategy and successfully embed changes within WWNZ and Commercial Merchandise Team to realise benefits. This role will see you partner with leadership teams and critical stakeholders to drive our commercial transformation and make our strategy happen. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead WWNZ’s Enterprise level pricing and promotional strategies by leveraging analytics and insight.
• Lead the development of short, medium and long term thinking and strategic intent with the Merchandise team in enabling the effective delivery of business imperatives.
• Lead the development of frameworks that further seek to enhance our relationships with suppliers, the wider community and industry as a whole.
• Lead the end to end orchestration of the Commercial Trade plan and sales activation approaches
• Lead the orchestration of overall Merchandise operating rhythm, building the environment to support the Merchandise Trading team with robust routine and drive effective outcomes.
• Embed best practice systems and commercial work processes to drive efficiency
• Utilise Data Analytics and Insights to drive strategic decision outcomes.
• Lead and embed a Better Together Culture.

About You | Mōu

Having led businesses or business units from a full P&L perspective, you will have tangible experience in both the leadership and development of people and practices as a whole. Adept at providing leadership across joint ventures, mergers of acquisitions, you will have sound commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills - particularly within a complex environment. This role will see you flex your thought leadership muscle, while showcasing your leading CI/CM mindset. Highly organised and with the ability to balance competing priorities, you possess the ability to drive, develop and enhance the teams you lead, fostering a positive environment for all concerned.
