What you'll do 

  • Formulate and drive long-term Fire Safety/Protection asset class strategies (all classes), forecasting future business needs and aligning them with the overarching Strategic Asset Management Plan.

  • Lead the governance and management of all statutory requirements for Fire Safety / Protection assets and essential building services for our supermarkets.

  • Direct the design and execution of fire safety engineering and fire protection services across all infrastructure and engineering assets.

  • Lead, conduct and review Fire Safety Audits / Risk Assurance Initiatives and manage the resolution of resulting actions and non-conformances.

  • Develop and maintain strategies for the acquisition, maintenance, replacement and disposal of Fire Safety/Protection assets, ensuring efficiency, performance and sustainability.

  • Effectively manage key relationships with internal teams, including Woolworths 360 leaders, Facilities Management, Safety and Food Safety teams and external parties like Regulatory and Industry Bodies.

  • Lead a team of 2 - 3 Direct Reports (Asset Specialists) driving strategic and asset management knowledge across the team and partners. 


What you’ll bring

  • Proven ability to provide strong leadership and foster collaboration through effective stakeholder management.

  • Expertise in leveraging data-driven analysis to guide strategy and ensure optimal outcomes.

  • Deep understanding of risk and compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence and protecting organisational value.

  • Providing specialised technical advisory alongside comprehensive asset lifecycle management for sustained operational performance.

  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
